Application for Free and Reduced Meal/Reduction in Assessed Fees

Jeffco was able to roll out a new program that will provide healthy meals for all students at no cost. With that being said, those families in need of assistance and believe they will qualify for the waiver of other fees, will still need to complete an application.

Families are Still Encouraged to Complete a Meal Benefits Application.

Families are not required to complete a Meal Benefits Application in order to receive the free lunches, but all families are strongly encouraged to apply for other benefits.

Completing a Meal Benefits Application will help with additional education funding for schools and may allow for waivers of school-related fees.

This Application is Available on School Cafe.
You must log in to School Café or set up a new School Café account; you will need an account and may not complete an application as a guest.

Please include your student’s first and last name or student number when referencing your account.

Once you log in, select Apply on the left side of the screen (under Benefits) and this will take you to the Meal Benefits Application.

Be sure to click the box that authorizes the sharing of information with EHS. (If you do not check this box and you qualify, school fees will remain on your account.)

While online applications are preferred, paper applications are available in the main office at school as well as the Food & Nutrition Services office - 809 Quail St., Building 1, Lakewood, Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Contact Lorena Gomez-Vazquez, Free & Reduced Specialist, Food and Nutrition Services, with questions about applications at [email protected].

How do I pay student fees?
After logging into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, you will see "More" at the bottom list of options on the left of your screen. Click on "More." Then, you'll see a list of links come up in the center of the page. When you click on "Jeffco Student Fee Payment," you will be taken to the student fee payment system. If you need to pay a student fee without logging in, you may do so through this link.

How do I get access to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal?
If you are new to our district, you will start by going to EnrollJeffco.org to follow the steps to create an account and apply to/select a school for enrollment. Once your enrollment is accepted, you will receive an email with information about how to complete your registration in the Infinite Campus system. Both EnrollJeffco and your household registration must be completed before your student can start school.

I have several fees showing up that have OPT in front of the fee. What does OPT mean? I don’t want or need these items.
OPT stands for ‘Optional’. These fees are made available for you to pay online if you want to. They are not required. All unpaid OPT fees are removed at the end of the school year, unless otherwise noted.

What is the 'OPT-Athletic Pass' that is showing up for my student?
An Optional Fee, the Athletic Pass gives students admission to all athletic events at Jeffco facilities (excluding state playoffs) throughout the year. The cost of the pass is $65 and can result in significant savings over the course of the school year. The normal cost for students is $5.00/game. This fee will be removed from your account in January if unpaid.

If you purchase an Athletic Pass online prior to school starting, the Athletic Pass will be printed on your student's ID. If you pay for the Athletic Pass after pictures are taken, athletic pass stickers will be available in the main office. Evergreen will not be responsible for refunds for admission to games if you do not have your Athletic Sticker on your student ID.

What is the Personalized Technology Use Fee? My student is not in a Technology class.
The Personalized Tech Use Fee is a district-wide fee that is charged to all students. For more information regarding school fees please select the "District Fees Explained" link above.

There are fees in Campus Parent for classes of which my student is going to transfer out. How do I get that corrected?
At the beginning of each semester, the student schedules can change daily. Please don't pay fees for classes if you think your student will be transferring out. Fees are generated two to three times a week to keep up with the schedule changes. By week two of the semester, the fees should stabilize.

My student’s record shows that a fine is owed and I don’t know anything about it!
Your student was notified about the fine prior to the end of the school year. If he/she thinks it has been corrected, the Financial Secretary needs an email from the staff person that issued the fine in order to remove it. Please have your student work with that person to get the fine cleared up.

Can I set up a payment plan?

While we don't have official payment plans, it is okay to pay a few fees at a time. A suggestion would be to pay the course related fees first, then pay other fees as you have funds. If there is a single fee that is too large to pay all at once, please email the Financial Secretary indicating how you would like to break up the fee.
