CHOICE ENROLLMENT

Families who wish to enroll their student in a school other than their assigned neighborhood school must complete a Choice Enrollment Application, available at schools or from the link below, and submit it to their school of choice. Applications for First Round Choice Enrollment are accepted in January for the following school year. Students are accepted on a space available basis. Round one applications are prioritized through a lottery process. Waiting lists, which are prioritized, will be created if applicants exceed space available at the school. A separate application must be completed and submitted for each child. Open enrollment may affect athletic eligibility.

Choice enrolled students moving from elementary to middle school and middle to high school must submit a new Choice Enrollment Application.

If a student is not accepted at a school during the first round Choice Enrollment, the student will remain on the prioritized wait list and be carried over to Second Round Choice Enrollment. 

Check with individual schools regarding any required attendance at parent information nights or orientation.

For attendance during the school year beginning August 2019
-Choice Enrollment Round 1: January 7, 2019 – January 31, 2019
-Choice Enrollment Round 2: February 11, 2019 – August 31, 2019

ENROLLMENT PROCESS


Prior to making an appointment for enrollment please complete the following steps:

Step 1 – Verify Residency

Please check to see if your address is within the Evergreen High School Boundary area. If not, you will be CHOICE enrolling your student to Evergreen High School. Round One ended February 8th. We are currently in Round 2 and is on space availability and first come basis.

Proof of residency within our boundary will be required if you indicate your residence is within our articulation area.  Acceptable forms of proof are; Bills (Xcel Energy, Comcast, Water, Trash) or a driver's license with the current address.

Step 2 – Create or Update Jeffco Connect Account

Students NEW to the Jefferson County School District  MUST Complete JEFFCO CONNECT prior to making an appointment for enrollment. Use the link below.

If your student is currently, or has ever been in Jeffco Schools DO NOT create a new account. Please update your existing account with any address or contact information changes.

Step 3 – Records

You will need the following documents to enroll your student:

· Birth certificate

· Current Immunization Record

· Proof of residency - Acceptable forms of proof are; utility bills clearly indicating parent name (Xcel Energy, Comcast, Water, Trash) or a driver's license with the current address.

· Copy of Transcript

· Copy of IEP or 504 if applicable


Step 4– Appointment for Enrollment
*After June 3, 2019 Evergreen High School will be closed for summer break. We will begin taking calls for enrollment appointments on Monday, July 22 at 8:00 AM.

*Bring ALL documents to your appointment. Incomplete packets can not be processed.
