Hello Cougar Families and Happy Sunday,

Tammy Dufford

20 years ago this week, Tammy Dufford began her career at Evergreen High School. On the last day of this month, it will conclude. Tammy Dufford will retire leaving a legacy few have in the history of this institution. Her contribution as a Campus Supervisor to our school community and to Jeffco Schools is simply unmatched, and she will be deeply missed. We wish her well in her next chapter spending as much time with her grandson (and granddaughter due this Spring) as she wants. Save the date for February 1st, for we are planning a retirement celebration for the ages, open to all community.

We hope everybody had a wonderful weekend,

Brandon Brekke and EHS School Leadership

Leukemia and Lympoma Society

LLS

Hello Evergreen High School students, staff and parents,

My name is Connor Culligan and I am a sophomore at Evergreen High School.  I have been nominated for the Student of the Year program for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I am the first student from Evergreen High School to have this honor. This program is a 7 week campaign which runs from January 9, 2020 to February 28, 2020 during which time I try to raise as much awareness and fundraising for blood cancer research, treatment protocol and patient support as possible.

I am participating in memory of both of my grandfathers who died from Acute Myeloid Leukemia in the year before I was born.  Grandpa Murray, my Mom's father, died when she was 9 months pregnant with me and she was on bed rest in San Francisco. My Mom was not allowed to travel so she never had the chance to say her goodbyes in person.  Grandpa David, my father's Dad, also died suddenly of AML that year.  So, I never had the chance to know my grandfathers personally and I have felt that void in my life greatly.

Now 16 years later, I am doing my best to make a personal impact and to support other families who are navigating the heartbreaking loss and hardship caused by blood cancer.  I do not want others to feel the way that my family has felt. My focus is to spread the LLS mission to create a world without leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers.

I would love support from our Evergreen community. Thank you!

You can find more about my story and ways to support my campaign here:https://events.lls.org/rm/DenverSOY20/cculligan

Important Naviance Changes

Jeffco Public Schools has added Clever to its platform to provide more security for student accounts.  Students can now access their Naviance account through Clever at https://clever.com/in/jeffco

Clever has also been added to the Links & Logins page of the EHS website (https://evergreenhs.jeffcopublicschools.org/students/links___logins), where students can click on the Naviance icon and it will direct them to Clever.  Students will then use their Jeffco username (student ID) and Jeffco password to login and then select the Naviance icon to access their account.

Tech tips for using and accessing Clever can be found at this link:  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vX8SoTlyH1sArAfMZtDFcaSHfvOkMAAlbgqTmy-AEP8/edit?usp=sharing.
