Here is your College & Career Friday Blast, the last one of this school year!

LOOKING FOR A SUMMER JOB?  There are several postings for summer employment outside the College & Career Center.  Snap a photo of a job listing that sounds interesting and contact the employer directly.  Current listings include:  Evergreen Parks and Recreation District, Foothills Recreation District, Life Care Center, U.S. Census, Switchback Smokehouse, private yard and ranch work, Evergreen Moves, STEM apprenticeships, Skyhawk Sports, Evergreen Rentals, Natural Grocers, Jeffco Open Space, Conifer Gutter Service (18+), Super Tots Sports, Rob’s Excavating and Landscaping Service, Tuscany Tavern, Evergreen Country Day School, U.S. Postal Service, and Keys on the Green.  New listings added all the time.  Happy Earnings!

Do you need additional skills in math, reading or writing to achieve success?  The Learning Collaborative at Red Rocks Community College can help!  Enroll in non-credit courses to receive at least 60 hours of instruction and tutoring to improve your math, reading, and writing skills.  Course cost:  $60 per course.  For more information, visit The Learning Collaborative.  

BOLT - Bioengineering Opportunities & Leadership Training Summer Camp at CU Anschutz Medical Campus for high school students.  Students will participate in 3D printing, building prototype devices, touring labs on campus, interacting with doctors, researchers and industry leaders, gain clinical and laboratory skills, explore tissue engineering,   Perfect for STEM students!  Session 1 - July 22-25 - filling up fast.  Session 2 - July 29-August 1 is SOLD OUT.  See their website for more details. 

DECTech Explore Tech STEM - Explore Computer Science Camp for girls and boys entering 6 - 9th grade.  Colorado School of Mines Campus from 9 am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday on June 3-7 OR July 8-12 OR July 29-Aug 2.  Cost $400.  For additional info and registration visit here

University of Colorado Denver’s The College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) offers a summer, noncredit program called Architecture in the City for high school students. This is an interdisciplinary program designed for entering their sophomore, junior, senior year of high school and recent high school graduates. The two-week camp will give participants the opportunity for a hands on experience in model building and drawing techniques while exposing them to architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, and urban planning. This commuter program will be offered at the University of Colorado Denver Campus from Monday, June 3rd through Friday, June 14th from 9am to 4pm. Participants with and without design backgrounds are welcome.  

Columbine Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is aimed to support students who have made a positive impact in their school/community with min GPA 2.5.  Final deadline is 6/7/19.  Please visit their website for more information.
