Winter Finals Schedule 
Winter Finals are upon us! Click here to view the schedule for this week. Winter Finals Schedule Join us in the Library for stress busters during your off period. You got this!!
Winter Break:  Students are on break from December 22nd-January 8th.  They will return to classes on January 9th.  We will have regular 7 period days Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday that week.  



Advanced Film Photography



Students:  After being cancelled first semester, Intermediate and Advanced Film Photography is going to be offered next semester. If you signed up for it last Spring and want to take the class second semester, please contact your EHS school counselor immediately.   



Credit Recovery Option

If your student is going to fail a class needed for graduation this semester or has failed a class in previous years, Jeffco Virtual Academy offers credit recovery during the school year. The application is open on their website  www.jeffcovirtual.org  through December 17. Spaces will fill up quickly and they will close the application when we have filled the available spots, or by December 17, whichever occurs first.

  • Cost is $20 and students may take up to 2 classes.
  • We  offer both the 'A' and 'B' portion of yearlong core courses.
  • We do not offer any electives or World Language in Credit Recovery during the school year.

Where: EHS Auditorium
Time: 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Please join the EHS Counselors in a fun informative night about college planning. Hear from past students about what they found helpful and what they wish they would have done when applying to college. Learn about what colleges look for when selecting students and get an overview of upcoming testing requirements and options. Please contact your student’s EHS counselor with questions.



Thespian Festival Update

2018 Colorado State Thespian Festival - A
ccomplishment for Evergreen High School

Trevor Targowski was the 2018 State Thespian Musical Theatre Scholarship Winner. This is a huge accomplishment as he was competing against students from every high school and performing arts magnet school in the entire state of Colorado and was named THE BEST of them all by college faculty from all over the country.  The EHS Improv team made it back to the finals this year and over a dozen other students received Superior Ratings (the highest possible rating) in monologue, duet scene, solo musical, and duet musical events qualifying for Nationals. 


Parking Fines

All 1st Semester Parking Fines were Due last Wednesday, December 12th 2018. All parking passes with outstanding fines have been revoked and collected.  Please log on to your Jeffco Connect account to pay. After fines are paid, passes will be redistributed to the student.

Join Principal Brekke & TEAM EHS and take the Plunge on New Year's Day!  Register now for the Evergreen Lake Plunge or to pledge your support.  Sounds too cold?  Volunteering is a great way to participate without jumping into the icy water.  CLICK HERE to contact Marie Lynch about ways to help out that day.  All proceeds from the Evergreen Lake Plunge support Active4All Evergreen Foundation, a charitable organization that funds EPRD's INSPIRE (special needs) programs, scholarships and capital projects.

Tribute ads are due December 31, 2018 - 
These are pages that traditionally include baby pictures, alternate photos from your senior session, and words of congratulations and encouragement. You will find information on how to order tribute pages on Mrs. Graham’s website. This service is provided by Jostens and is done directly through their website.

 -  Hey EHS! Do you do something cool outside of school? Do you dance, rock climb, scuba dive, surf, play hockey, ride horses, or anything else that isn’t featured in the yearbook? If so, we want your pictures! You can send your pictures to Mrs. Graham at [email protected].

Senior quotes are due December 31, 2018

Don’t forget to add yearbook to your senior fees.



Warren Tech and Jeffco Virtual Academy

  • Warren Tech:  The application is open for the 2019-2020 school year. Priority deadline is early February. Current Sophomores and Juniors can apply. The application is located on their website under admissions. Admission is not first come first serve. It is based on credits earned towards graduation, attendance, GPA/current grades, standardized test scores and behavior records. Students can select a first and second choice. If you plan on riding the bus, you need to select the AM session. Please see an EHS counselor for more information. http://warrentech.jeffcopublicschools.org/

  • Jeffco Virtual Academy:  JVA may open their enrollment for the Spring semester. Students can fill out a waitlist application now. http://jeffcovirtual.jeffcopublicschools.org/home

Cougar Claw

EHS Tailgate:

The Cougar Crazies will be hosting a tailgate at EHS on Monday, 12/17, 4:30-5:30 p.m., prior to our girls and boys varsity games at Conifer that same evening.  We will be setting up bean bag toss and other games, grilling hot dogs, and just enjoying one another’s company.  Come one, come all!!

Ticket Books for Sale:
