Homecoming Dance Tickets
Homecoming Tickets are on sale and can be purchased online until Friday, September 21 @ 2:30pm through Jeffco Connect.
Tickets will also be sold at the door, but at an increased price of $40 with no multi-ticket discount.
Tickets will NOT be sold during lunch this year!
Ticket prices are as follows:

Student must bring their student ID which will need to be shown at the door.

Ticket price includes the following: Homecoming Dance, Tailgate, Peach Fuzz game, and Powder Puff game.

The payment system for advanced purchases is accessed by parents/guardians through their existing Jeffco Connect account.
To purchase tickets without a log in, select the Pay Jeffco Student Fees Without a Login? button. This is located underneath the Jeffco Connect Login box. You may need to scroll down to see it.
Also, if your student's date does not attend Evergreen HS, a DANCE GUEST FORM will need to be filled out and turned into the Main Office by Thursday, September 20th at 3pm. The form can be found HERE or picked up in the Main office.
National Honor Society
Congratulations to our new National Honor Society candidates! Our first meeting of the year will be Monday, September 17 after school in the library. This meeting is for both returning members and new candidates. We will go over the policies and hand out important information. We look forward to seeing you there!
Test Fest
Start Planning for TEST FEST on Wednesday, October 10.
For many years, EHS has used the October National PSAT/NMSQT testing date to administer multiple tests. EHS calls this day TEST FEST. Students will be taking the 9th, 10th, and 11th grade PSAT tests on Wed., Oct. 10. All of these tests are used to identify college readiness, and we use the results in our academic counseling process to help determine proper academic placement in classes. The National Merit Scholarship is awarded to a small amount of students every year to help them fund their college experience. In fact, the PSAT is sometimes referred to as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT). Three benefits of taking the PSAT are—
- Since the junior year is the only year that students can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship, they might want to give it a practice shot during the sophomore year.
- It helps students connect with colleges.
- It better prepares students to take the SAT.
Test registration closes at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Students are considered registered when the OPTIONAL fee has been paid online through Jeffco Connect.
Please take note that only students testing attend school on October 10. Parents do not need to call the attendance line. Buses will run on a normal schedule.
ON TEST DAY:
- Students need to arrive by 7:25 a.m. with a calculator and #2 pencils.
- Freshmen students will be done at approximately 10:45 a.m.Sophomores and juniors will finish at approximately 11:30 a.m.(Students with accommodations will finish at various times.)
As a reminder, all students will take a free PSAT or SAT in the spring as part of our state mandated testing.
College and Career Announcements
Sargent Morelli from the United States Marine Corp will have a table set up on Main Street on September 12th during lunch!! Visit him if you are interested in hearing about NROTC and how it can help you pay for college!!!!
Evergreen Library will be having a College Financial Aid 101 on September 13th, from 6:30-7:30pm.
Attention Seniors
At the Senior Class meeting this Wednesday, Jostens handed out ordering packets for graduation. These include information about announcements, Caps and Gowns, and class rings.
If you did not receive one, make sure to stop by the Main Office and pick one up from Mrs. Allen. Jostens will have representatives here next week during lunch on Tuesday,
September 11th and Wednesday, September 12thcollecting orders. All students are required to wear the matching cap and gown in order to walk at graduation. Jostens will be accepting cash, check, and/or credit card. You can pay in full, make payments, or simply make an $80 deposit for the entire order and pay the balance upon delivery. Late orders may incur additional costs.
EHSTV Video Announcements
Mr. Benson and his EHSTV video broadcasting students are off to a great start creating our weekly video announcements. You can view them at your convenience every week from our school homepage.
Dress Code
Evergreen High School strives to maintain an environment that is safe and welcoming for all students and is conducive to learning. The purpose of the dress code is to create a
professional and respectful environment in preparation for the future. In conjunction with District Policy JICA, Student Dress Code, the following guidelines support a safe and disruption-free, appropriate learning environment for all.
The following are prohibited:
- Clothing that reveals too much skin (no crop tops)
- Sunglasses
- Hats, bandanas
- Chains on pants
- Clothing/backpacks with symbols displaying use of tobacco, alcohol, drugs, sex, violence or gang activity
- Excessively baggy/short pants
- Gang-related symbols or logos on clothing
- Alcohol or drug symbols or logos on clothing
- Flags worn as an article of clothing
- Blankets worn as an article of clothing
- Slippers
- Clothing must cover underwear
- Large jackets and trench coats must be put in lockers

Reminder regarding the 2018-19 Eligibility policy. The Final Eligibility reports were run on Friday and distributed to the Fall coaches. The athletes who had Fs on Friday are ineligible to compete this week, 9/10-9/15.
ELIGIBILITY POLICY
Evergreen High School has a no-F policy and will run weekly eligibility grade checks.
A school-wide report is run every Tuesday afternoon to check grades. An automated phone call home will notify parents that their student is on this week’s D and F list. The list of athletes with D and/or Fs is distributed to coaches and the Athletic Director.
Athletes must remain aware of their grades. They need to communicate and work directly with their teachers to get their grades up by Friday.
A Final Eligibility Report is run every Friday afternoon. Student athletes who have any Fs at this time will not be eligible the following Monday – Saturday.
There is no longer a “blue slip” policy. The grades posted on Fridays are the final determination of eligibility for the next week.
Ineligible student/athletes may go to practices and games; however, they may not miss any class time to attend games and may not dress in uniform for games until they have regained eligibility.
- Swim Across America
Hats off to EHS Junior Remi Gucker who has already raised over $2000 for Pediatric Cancer Research at Children’s Hospital. Remi swam a 5k in 1hr 12min in the inaugural Swim Across America in Denver last month. Donations can still be made by following this link: Swim Across America
